The Instituto BioSistêmico (IBS) is a private organization specializing in consulting, technical assistance, and rural extension services, founded in May 2006. It was established through the integration of professionals and expertise with the purpose of supporting and fostering the growth and development of the agricultural sector.
Headquartered in Piracicaba, São Paulo, IBS maintains offices in the states of Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraíba, Paraná, Rio Grande do Norte, and São Paulo. The organization implements projects throughout Brazil in the areas of Agriculture, Rural Extension Services, ESG, Environment, and Livestock Production.
Over its 20-year history, IBS has carried out more than 500,000 technical assistance services through over 250 projects, reaching 23 states across all regions of Brazil and serving more than 60,000 farmers and rural producers.
Its scope of work includes producer organizations, rural communities, associations, cooperatives, companies, and institutions that develop and demand programs aimed at increasing production, promoting social and environmental responsibility, and fostering development through innovation and sustainability initiatives.
The work of the Instituto BioSistêmico is guided by three core principles: seeking solutions, solving problems, and achieving goals. These actions are designed and implemented through a systemic approach, in which each farm or production unit is evaluated as an integrated system. This methodology considers all components involved in the production process and the impacts generated by each action undertaken.
IBS relies on a multidisciplinary technical team composed of agronomists, forestry engineers, animal scientists, veterinarians, agricultural technicians, nutritionists, food engineers, administrators, economists, social workers, biologists, information technology specialists, communication professionals, and other experts. More than 80 professionals work collaboratively to apply technologies, systemic approaches, and sustainable practices that contribute to agricultural development and productivity.
