To implement its dairy farming projects, the Instituto BioSistêmico (IBS) uses the CheckMilk methodology, which includes a management platform and a mobile application designed for both technical teams and producers. The platform streamlines project management, while the application supports producers in their daily activities, functioning as an extension of IBS technical assistance that can be accessed anytime, directly from a mobile device.

The CheckMilk methodology was inspired by the Sustainable Dairy Farming Guide developed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Dairy Federation (IDF). The methodology comprises 160 assessment criteria covering six key areas: milking hygiene and animal health, animal welfare, socioeconomic aspects, and environmental issues.
Through the platform, it is possible to monitor the level of compliance of farms across different areas. For dairy processors, cooperatives, and other organizations within the dairy sector, CheckMilk also provides valuable ESG-related data, supporting accountability and reporting efforts for society, governance, and stakeholders.
The platform enables organizations to better understand the profile of their milk suppliers and obtain an overall view of farm performance in relation to ESG standards and sustainability indicators.
